Honeycomb Ceramic:

The main raw materials of cordierite ceramics are talc, clay, alumina, feldspar and so on. Made in a general ceramic process. The sintering range is narrow, and the sintering temperature is only a few degrees away from the decomposition temperature of cordierite, making it difficult to obtain a dense body. As an additive, chlorite, magnesium carbonate, barium carbonate, zirconium silicate, zirconium dioxide, boron trioxide, spodumene, etc. are often used as additives to lower the sintering temperature, expand the firing temperature range, and improve the dielectric properties. It can be used as a coil bobbin, an electric insulating material resistant to arcing, a base material of a composite material, a material of a burner nozzle of an electric heating insulating device, and the like.

The pressure resistance is 280 to 500 MPa.

 The tensile strength is 25 to 40 MPa.

 The bending strength is 50 to 60 MPa. 

The impact strength is 1.8 to 2.2 cm·kg/cm 2 .

 Linear expansion coefficient (1.1 to 1.8) × 10-6 (20 to 100 ° C). 

The average thermal conductivity is 3.35 to 5.02 kJ/(m2·h·°C) (0 to 100 ° C). 

Resistance to hot and cold temperatures of 300 to 500 ° C. 

The insulation resistance is 2.3 to 5.6 MΩ·cm (400 to 600 ° C).

The dielectric loss tangent value was 200 × 10 -4 (50 Hz); 40 × 10 -4 (500 Hz). 

The degree of refractoriness is about 1400 ° C.

Application industry:

1.Catalyst carrier
When used as a catalyst carrier, honeycomb ceramics are mainly used in automobile exhaust gas purification, boiler exhaust and denitrification (NOx), industrial exhaust gas deodorization, and removal of toxic and harmful gases.

2. Refractory kiln

3. Wall flow filter
The porous thin-walled honeycomb ceramic can filter and purify carbon particles in the diesel exhaust gas (about 500 ° C).
