At present, the glass ceramics for construction are sintered, and no crystal nucleating agent is added. Its basic principle is that glass is an amorphous solid. From a thermodynamic point of view, it is in a metastable state, which has a higher internal energy than a crystal, so it can be converted into a crystalline state under certain conditions. From the kinetic point of view, during the cooling process, the viscosity of the glass melt increases sharply, inhibiting the formation of crystal nuclei and crystal growth, preventing the growth of crystals. The glass-ceramics for building use the heterogeneous crystallization mechanism without nucleating agent, fully applying the thermodynamic potential and the kinetic inhibition. Under certain conditions, the complementary physical processes form a new one. Balanced while getting a new material. The microcrystals consist of a glass phase and a crystalline phase. The distribution of the two varies with their proportion. 1. When the proportion of the glass phase is large, the glass phase is a continuous matrix. The crystal phase is evenly distributed in it. 2. When the glass phase is small, the glass phase is dispersed between the crystal lattices and has a continuous network. 3. If the amount of the glass phase is very low, the glass phase is distributed between the crystals in a thin film state.
