S iC is a compound with strong covalent bond, and its basic constituent unit is a coordination tetrahedron (SiC4 or CSi4). The SiC is called β-SiC (3C-SiC), and β-SiC has high stability below 2100 °C, which is the main crystal phase of SiC.
