Zirconium oxide sensor is a straight-in heating type, all stainless steel structure. It has the characteristics of high sensitivity, fast response and good stability. It can not only measure the residual oxygen in the combustion process of the boiler, but also can be used for thermodynamic research, continuous monitoring of oxygen content in gas manufacturing plants, control of soaking furnace combustion process, and control analysis of oxygen in production processes such as chemical plants. It plays an active role in reducing environmental pollution, energy saving and improving combustion efficiency. It is also an important means of engineering management and quality control, and is widely used in the domestic boiler industry such as electric power, petrochemical, metallurgy and fertilizer. The sensor has the characteristics of high measurement accuracy, good reproducibility and interchangeability, firm structure and long service life.
The oxygen sensor uses two zirconia discs with a sealed space in between. One of the functions of the disk is a reversible oxygen pump, which in turn fills the sample gas and evacuates this small space. The other disk is used to measure the oxygen partial pressure difference ratio to obtain the corresponding sensing voltage. When the zirconia disk is operated as an oxygen pump, the required temperature of 700 °C is generated by the heating element. The oxygen pump corresponds to the time it takes to reach the rated minimum and maximum pressures in a small space and the oxygen partial pressure value in the environment.
