Used as a crystallizer: In artistic glaze crystallization, zinc oxide is an indispensable crystallizer. When the melted glaze is rapidly cooled, it forms a large crystal pattern, which is very beautiful. In crystalline glaze, the amount of zinc oxide is as high as 20-30%.

Used as ceramic pigment: Due to its strong fluxing effect, zinc oxide can be used as a rib flux, mineralizer and glaze carrier for ceramic pigments.
Zinc oxide should also pay attention to the following points during use: Before use, it must be calcined at a high temperature, and the calcination temperature is about 1200 ℃. If it is added to the raw glaze without calcination, it will affect the process performance of the glaze. No calcination is needed when adding frit. Too much zinc oxide in the glaze will affect the glaze gloss. Zinc oxide has a bad influence on some colored glazes, especially chrome glaze.
Zinc oxide can be used as a reinforcing agent, accelerator and vulcanizing agent in rubber products. In the process of rubber vulcanization, it reacts with organic accelerator stearin to produce zinc stearate, thereby enhancing the physical properties of rubber during vulcanization and shortening the vulcanization time.
Zinc oxide is an activator of a foaming agent, which can reduce the decomposition temperature of the foaming agent, and at the same time can adjust the consistency with the rubber processing temperature, usually the amount is between 0.2-2phr, generally speaking according to the rubber system and foaming The dosage is different for different agent systems.
